The Deputy will be aware that the North-Eastern Health Board is responsible for the development and delivery of hospital services, including accident and emergency services, in its functional area. My Department has therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to the development of the accident and emergency service referred to by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
