Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure.

Bernard Allen

Ceist:

197 Mr. Allen asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the way in which spending in the first nine months of 2002 compares to the budgeted profile for spending for each major programme of her Department's spending; and her forecast for year end over-runs. [17160/02]

I propose to answer this question based on the first eight months of 2002 rather than the first nine months, as the relevant data for September is currently being processed by my Department. The following table shows, first, the 2002 Estimate for the major programmes in my Vote. The expenditure as profiled at the beginning of the year for each of these subheads can be compared directly to the actual expenditure which occurred up to the end of August.

None of these programmes envisages an over-run by year end.
