Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Timmins – the situation with respect to the provision of a new primary school at Lacken, County Wicklow; (2) Deputy Allen – the serious breaches of the Housing Regulations 1993 and the Fire Services Act, 1981 in private rented accommodation in the Dublin area intended for student use; (3) Deputy Crawford – the urgent need for the Minister for Health and Children to intervene in the Monaghan General Hospital saga; (4) Deputy Wall – problems, if any, being encountered in the acquisition of a new site for a new school building for Scoil Diarmada, Castledermot, County Kildare and the timeframe for the acquisition of a site and the completion of the project; (5) Deputy Hayes – the need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to say what plans he has for the disposal of meat and bonemeal and give a commitment to the House that the proposed plans to build an incinerator in the heart of the golden vale by a private company will not be encouraged by his Department and that an alternative system which is available be investigated; (6) Deputy Olivia Mitchell – the action being taken to ensure a safe and regular service to the clients of St. Vincent's Navan Road who are now six weeks without a service; (7) Deputy O'Dowd – the Bus Éireann Report on Proposed Actions to Recover Financial Position, July 2002 and the proposed service cuts in Drogheda and Dundalk; (8) Deputy Deasy – financial assistance to allow Waterford County Council to purchase the Villiers Stuart Papers which are coming up for sale and which are of immense historical value to the people of Waterford; (9) Deputy Deenihan – the unacceptable waiting list for orthodontic treatment for Kerry patients which is now four years and the urgent need for both the Minister and the Southern Health Board to take immediate action; and (10) Deputy Upton – what steps the Minister for Transport will take to ensure the speedy implementation of the penalty points system for road traffic offences.

The matters raised by Deputies Timmins, Wall, Crawford and Upton have been selected for discussion.
