299 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a REP scheme payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; the reason for the delay in issuing payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16051/02]

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh):

Payment dated 30 September has issued to the person named. Processing of his application was slightly delayed by a temporary staff shortage in the local farm development service office.
