Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Special Educational Needs.

Dan Neville

Ceist:

655 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Education and Science if a learning support service at five primary schools in County Limerick can be re-organised in such a way as to grant Kilfinane national school a full time service, Effin and Ardpatrick a shared service and Gleann Rua and Ballyorgan a shared service. [16609/02]

Dan Neville

Ceist:

711 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will appoint a full time learning support teacher to Kilfinane National School, County Limerick. [16944/02]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 655 and 711 together.

The schools referred to by the Deputy currently share the services of a full-time learning support teacher. I can assure the Deputy that the needs of these schools will be taken fully into account in the event of additional learning support teacher posts becoming available for allocation.
