962 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will consider assistance towards modification costs of guardianship responsibilities in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who has two of their late sisters' children; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility in relation to the matter referred to by the Deputy rests with the South Western Area Health Board. I understand from the Eastern Regional Health Authority that the matter is currently being dealt with by that board and that a response will issue to the person (details supplied) shortly. I understand that an assistant chief executive officer in the South Western Area Health Board has briefed the Deputy in relation to the matter.
