I propose to take Questions Nos. 1098, 1107, 1113 and 1214 together.
I presume the Deputy refers to the draft report "Men and Domestic Violence: What Research Tells Us" which was commissioned from external consultants by my Department in collaboration with the North Eastern Health Board.
Kieran McKeown Limited, Social and Economic Research Consultants, were engaged to carry out this work and the draft report was presented to my Department in October 2000. My Department then sought the views of relevant official agencies on the draft report.
As a number of issues relating to the methodology used by the researchers were raised during this consultation process my Department has arranged for the document to be peer-reviewed. I will take a final decision as to the publication of the report when this process is complete.
