Ceist:

1222 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo was not called to Merlin Park Regional Hospital for a bone density X-ray in August 2002 as promised; and when this person will be called for her appointment. [17495/02]

The provision of medical services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply to the Deputy directly.
