Ceist:

61 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if all the lands of Inishturk Island, County Mayo, can be reclassified and designated as severely handicapped, similar to the reclassification of the land on the neighbouring Clare Island. [17782/02]

The lands on Inishturk Island are now classified as mountain land for the purposes of the area based compensatory allowance scheme and eligible herdowners have been paid accordingly both for 2001 and 2002.
