117 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo was not admitted to the Galway Regional Hospital on 10 October 2002 or 11 October 2002 after receiving instructions to fast prior to admission; and when this person will be admitted. The provision of medical services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply to the Deputy directly.
