85 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the revenue from charges related to public services which his Department approves to be raised by agencies under his aegis, which are not included in appropriations-in-aid for 2000, 2001 and 2002. [18725/02]
Revenue collected by my Department in respect of passport, visa and other consular fees is paid directly into the central fund as Exchequer extra receipts. The value of fees received in respect of these services in 2000 and 2001 amounted to €23.257 million and €24.312 million respectively. It is estimated that approx. €26 million will be obtained in passport, visa and other consular fees in 2002.
