Michael Ring

Ceist:

435 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources when funding will be made available for a project (details supplied) in County Mayo. [20732/02]

Michael Ring

Ceist:

454 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if the funding for the River Robe of ?100,000, which was announced by the Minister, Deputy Fahey, on 25 February 2002, has been allocated; and if it has been awarded to the River Robe committee or to the fisheries board. [20226/02]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 435 and 454 together.

As I previously informed the Deputy, I recently received an application for €10,000 from the Western Regional Fisheries Board for costs this year on the Robe River catchment management plan. I have approved this allocation. Appli cations for further funding for the catchment groups will be considered in the context of available resources in 2003 and forward years.

Martin Ferris

Ceist:

436 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the reason for the failure of the Government to deliver on its promised ?29 million investment in the harbour at Rossaveel, County Galway. [19740/02]

Planning permission has been received for the proposed development at Rossaveel Fishery Harbour Centre. Other statutory permissions are awaited. Funding for the development will be decided in the context of the Government allocation for the fishery harbour development in 2003 or later.
