Wallace asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the funding his Department is providing to the Ashling Group for its work with drug users, including counselling and support for clients, educational programmes for parents and drug prevention programmes; and the further funding which might be available from his Department to assist this group with its invaluable work. The Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform and its associated agencies have a broad remit and fund a wide variety of community projects. It is not possible, therefore, to provide with certainty the information requested by the Deputy within the short timeframe available for answer. I propose, however, to write directly to the Deputy in relation to this matter as soon as the information sought from a number of sources is available.
