Vol. 557 No. 6

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

Finian McGrath

Ceist:

179 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will examine the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5. [23160/02]

A medical card may be granted to persons who, in the opinion of the chief executive officer of the relevant health board, are unable to provide medical services for themselves and their dependants. Accordingly, my Department has referred this matter to the chief executive officer of the Eastern Regional Health Authority for investigation and for direct reply to the Deputy.
