Written Answers. - Social Welfare Expenditure.
At the end of September, the latest month for which full expenditure data is available, total expenditure on social welfare was €6,865 million. The corresponding expenditure total to year end is projected to amount to €9,281 million and the figure underlying the recently published 2003 Abridged, or pre-budget, Estimates is €9,575 million.
