161 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a grant will be made available for a community based pre-school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25289/02]
I am informed by the child care directorate of my Department that, to date, no application has been received which matches the details provided by the Deputy.
All applications under the equal opportunities childcare programme undergo a technical appraisal, carried out by Area Development Management Limited on my behalf, before being considered by the programme appraisal committee. Following this process a final decision on funding is made and the delivery of grants to successful applicants is managed by Area Development Management Limited, again on my behalf.
