Ceist:91 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason penalties were incurred on the REP scheme payment of a person (details supplied) from County Clare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26210/02]
Written Answers. - Rural Environment Protection Scheme.
The person named had REPS penalties applied for not carrying out the undertakings given in his agri-environmental plan with regard to his farmyard and not retaining monuments/ features as specified in his plan. He appealed the penalties unsuccessfully to the national REPS appeals committee. The appeals committee is independent and its decisions are final.
