Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.
This scheme has been approved for construction under my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2002-04. I have approved the contract documents for the scheme and it is now a matter for Roscom mon County Council to invite tenders for the works.

Ceist:918 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 1473 of 9 October 2002, if he will provide funding to Roscommon County Council to improve the south Roscommon water supply; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1500/03]
The South Roscommon Regional Water Supply Scheme, is included in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2002-04, as a scheme to advance through planning.
Last July I approved a brief, submitted by Roscommon County Council, for the appointment of a client's representative to prepare a design review report and contract documents for this and a number of other schemes in the county being advanced as a grouped project. Further progress on the scheme is a matter for the Roscommon County Council.
