Ceist:

224 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the position regarding the request by a person (details supplied) in County Wexford to transfer a milk quota following a request in November 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4295/03]

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh):

The position in the case of the person named is that the transfer of quota requested does not comply with the regulations because it involves the transfer of a milk quota without the land to which it is attached. It cannot therefore be approved.
