288 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science when funds are likely to become available for the provision of a gymnasium at St. Conleth's vocational school, Newbridge, County Kildare; when work is likely to start on the project; if it is likely to be completed and commissioned before the end of 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The 2003 school building programme has recently been published and full details in relation to individual projects are available on my Department's website at www.education.ie.
In view of the scale of the programme and having regard to the level of financial commitments to be met from projects already in construction, the Department will not be in a position to proceed with the building project for the proposed PE hall at St. Conleth's vocational school, Newbridge, County Kildare, in 2003. The timing of when this project can progress is dependant on the funding allocation for 2004 and subsequent years.
