Ceist:

342 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate the case of a person (details supplied) in County Cork who is awaiting a consultants appointment to be sanctioned for an MRI scan; and if an MRI scan will be arranged immediately in view of the fact that this person requires it urgently on medical grounds. The provision of services for people living in County Cork is a matter, in the first instance, for the Southern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
