34 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science when a proposal for new science facilities for a school (details supplied) in Dublin 9 was first submitted to his Department; and the progress which has been made in developing this proposal to a point of delivery. [5751/03]
The initial application for refurbishment of the science laboratories at Ardscoil Rís was received in 1994. Unfortunately, due to lack of funds at that time it was not possible for the project to proceed.
The project was re-activated in July 1997 and I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the newly refurbished laboratories are now in place. The school authority is now tendering for the furniture and equipment.
