It is not policy or practice to publish the results of an internal Garda inquiry. However, I am informed by the Garda authorities that senior Garda officers conducted an investigation into all the circumstances surrounding the arrest at Dublin airport in December 1995 of the person in question. The investigation found that all contacts between the gardaí and the person in question were bona fide in the course of operational duties.
