Ceist:

160 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason that the home help provision for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo was halved from 20 hours to ten hours per week; and the further reason this person's condition improved since they were first assessed as needing 20 hours help to justify their help being halved. As the Deputy will be aware, the responsibility for the provision of the home help service in the Mayo area rests with the Western Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him as a matter of urgency.
