398 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the amount of drugs seized in the Wicklow town and Arklow town areas since 1 January 2003; the value and breakdown of such drugs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12895/03]
I am informed by the Garda authorities that from 1 January to 30 April 2003 in the Wicklow district, incorporating Wicklow town, Aughrim, Avoca, Rathdrum, Roundwood, Newtownmountkennedy and Ashford, the following seizures were made: cocaine with an estimated street value of €60,000, cannabis with an estimated street value of €2,500 and heroin and ecstasy with an estimated street value of €300.
