Vol. 567 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Ceist:

337 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans or proposals to close theatres in a Tralee General Hospital in the near future for a definite or indefinite period of time; the reasons for such proposals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13635/03]

The provision of hospital services at Tralee General Hospital is a matter for the Southern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position and to reply directly to the Deputy.

Seán Crowe

Ceist:

338 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Health and Children if patients are being treated in the mortuary section of Tallaght Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13742/03]

Services at the Adelaide and Meath Hospital, incorporating the National Children's Hospital, Tallaght, are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
