62 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the contract for the supply of bovine identification tags will be awarded; if he will consider awarding the contract to more than one agent; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13904/03]
An invitation to tender was issued at the beginning of last month for a service provider or providers for the supply of bovine animal identification tags and birth registration documents. The closing date for receipt of tenders is 2 p.m. on Monday, 26 May 2003. The invitation to tender provides both for single and multiple suppliers and submissions received will be evaluated according to the criteria set out in the tender document.
