Written Answers. - Industrial Dispute.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

201 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when cattle cards belonging to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be returned to them from his Department; and if his attention has been drawn to the hardship that is being caused by the current dispute. [14618/03]

As the Deputy will be aware, there is an industrial dispute at the district veterinary office concerned. I regret the inconvenience to farmers like the person indicated and I assure the Deputy that I am most anxious to resolve the dispute to restore as quickly as possible the Department's normal service to farmers in the areas concerned. Contacts are continuing with the relevant union.
