77 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the number of meetings held with An Post management; the dates of such meetings; the agenda for these meetings; the policy direction provided to the company; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15856/03]
I met An Post on the following dates: 19 June 2002, 31 October 2002, 2 January 2002, 10 March 2003 and 21 May 2003. There were no fixed agendas for these meetings. However, the bulk of the discussions dealt with the financial situation of the company. I also met with the other members of An Post informally at launches and openings of post offices. No formal policy has been issued to An Post. However, the company is aware of my concerns about its financial situation.
