259 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Education and Science when it is proposed to proceed with work at Killeen national school, via Birr, County Tipperary, as promised in correspondence to the school in April 2002. [16451/03]
An application for improved accommodation has been received from the management authorities of Killeen national school, via Birr, County Tipperary.
Based on the budgetary allocation it was not possible to make provision for this project in 2003. The timing of when individual projects can progress to construction will depend on the budgetary allocation for 2004 and subsequent years and the relative priority of each project.
In the mean time, individual schools should use their devolved grant to deal with any urgent health and safety issues.
