Ceist:283 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will report on progress in the development of a sports hall at a school (details supplied) in Dublin 11; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16804/03]
Written Answers. - Physical Education Facilities.
The 2003 school building programme has been published and details in relation to individual projects are available on my Department's website at www.education.ie The PE hall project at St Michael's Holy Faith secondary school, is at an advanced stage of architectural planning – pre tender stage. It is included in section 6 of the published programme. However, given the level of financial commitments to be met from projects already in construction, my Department does not envisage that it will be in a position during this year to allow architectural planning for further large-scale projects to progress beyond their current authorised stage. The timing of when these projects can proceed is dependent on the financial allocation for 2004 and subsequent years.
