128 Ms McManus asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government when he expects to receive the results of the assessment jointly carried out by Dublin City Council and the Homeless Agency on the extent of homelessness in the city in January 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In April 2003, my Department received the results of the survey of households using homeless accommodation that was carried out jointly by Dublin City Council and the Homeless Agency in January. However, Dublin City Council subsequently raised a number of concerns regarding the reliability of the figures and they are currently re-examining the breakdown of the results of the survey vis-à-vis their homeless waiting list. I understand from the council that it hopes to be able to clarify the matter shortly.
