301 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if there is an application pending in the Land Registry on a folio for an elderly person (details supplied) in County Mayo; if so, when it will be completed. [21381/03]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for transfer of part which was lodged on 27 September 2001. Dealing Number D2001SM007358Y refers. I am further informed that a request for an estate map was issued to the records branch, Department of Agriculture and Food on 29 September 2003. I am also informed that, if the estate map is available and subject to no queries arising, the application will be completed within the next few weeks.
302 Mr. Cregan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress to date on the application by a person (details supplied) for registration of land; and when it is likely this dealing will be expedited. [21386/03]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for first registration which was lodged on 29 September 1999. Dealing Number D1999JS008242V refers. I am further informed that the further queries issued to the lodging solicitor on 3 July 2003 and that the application cannot proceed until these queries have been satisfactorily resolved.
I understand that due to the complicated nature of these type of cases, which require examination of an applicant's entitlement to the property concerned, it is not possible to estimate a date of completion at this time. However, I can assure the Deputy that on receipt of a satisfactory reply, the matter will receive further attention in the Land Registry.
