119 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs the number of staff employed in her press office, broken down by grade; and the amount paid in respect of each person in terms of salary, expenses and overtime. [24315/03]
There are three staff in my Department's press office comprising one higher executive officer, one executive officer, and one staff officer. From May 2002 to date, the gross salary costs of the three departmental staff totalled €145,294.11 and overtime amounted to €24,161.59. Employer's PRSI was €6,540.57. In addition to salary costs, travel and subsistence amounted to €6,309.80.
In July 2002, I appointed a press advisor, on a contract basis, for my term of office. To date, costs of this appointment, including salary, pension contribution and employers PRSI amounted to €105,637.04. In addition payments in respect of travel and subsistence expenses totalled €4992.04.
