435 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons for the delay in approving an application for mobility allowance for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if approval will be expedited in this case. [24847/03]
The assessment of entitlement to and payment of the mobility allowance in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer, South Eastern Health Board, to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
