598 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the overall figure within his Department for the percentages, quantities and costs of recycled and non-recycled paper and paper products used by his Department in the last period for which figures are available; and the plans his Department has to increase its use of recycled paper and paper products, and cut down on the use of non-recycled paper and paper products. I can inform the Deputy that my Department does not maintain records in a manner which would enable the information requested by the Deputy to be readily available. The information could only be made available by diverting substantial staff resources from other important work. I can, however, inform the Deputy that my Department's suppliers of paper have informed the Department that the majority of the paper supplied to my Department is either 100% recycled, partly recycled, or is made by way of the forest control method using 100% pulp with chlorine-free bleach.
