An allocation of €634,800 was provided in the budget of 2001 for the Artane Boys School of Music. The grant was awarded towards the cost of upgrading and refurbishing its existing facilities and to provide disabled access.
Apart from this, there is no specific provision for the funding of youth service projects or youth organisations within my Department. However, such projects may qualify under the sports capital programme, under which a total of €14.1 million in funding was allocated in Dublin in 2003.
