Ceist:333 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make a statement on when a third permanent consultant obstetrician-gynaecologist will be appointed to Kerry General Hospital. [29796/03]

The provision of services at the hospital is a matter for the Southern Health Board. My Department has asked the board's chief executive officer to investigate the matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
