335 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if an application will be expedited for a medical card for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in view of the medical history and circumstances of same. [29815/03]
Responsibility for the provision of a medical card is, by legislation, a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board or authority. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
