The Office of the Chief Whip and Minister of State, Deputy Hanafin, has a current staff of eight. The role of each staff member is to provide a support service to the Minister in her role as Chief Whip and Minister of State. The cumulative annual amount paid in terms of salary is €296,678. The office of Minister of State for European affairs, Deputy Roche, has a staff of four. The role of each staff member is to provide a support service to the Minister in his role as Minister for European affairs. The cumulative annual amount paid in terms of salary is €121,880.

There are no sections of my Department located outside Dublin. The current number of staff (wholetime equivalent) serving in my Department, as sanctioned by the Department of Finance, is 220.6. This comprises 194 core staff and 26.6 political and contract staff.
