Foras na Gaeilge is one of the agencies of An Foras Teanga, a North-South implementation body under the aegis of my Department which was established in accordance with the British-Irish Agreement Act 1999. The body is independent and is jointly funded by my Department and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure in Northern Ireland. I understand that a total of €109,953 has been paid by Foras na Gaeilge to date in 2003 in payments to consultants. I have asked Foras na Gaeilge to forward directly to the Deputy, as soon as possible, a breakdown of individual payments for his information.
