Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Finian McGrath - the funding crisis at the Darndale-Belcamp integrated child care service, Dublin 17; (2) Deputy Brendan Griffin - the need for vital health services at St. Francis special school, Beaufort, County Kerry; (3) Deputies Joe McHugh and Anthony Lawlor - the need to review the nationality requirements for a Student Universal Support Ireland grant; (4) Deputy Ann Phelan - the need to introduce a compulsory system for voluntary contributions for the self-employed; (5) Deputy Mattie McGrath - the need to resolve the critical breakdown in general practitioner services throughout the country; (6) Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl - the need to provide public artistic space in Ireland; (7) Deputy Michael Lowry - the need to resolve the critical breakdown in general practitioner services throughout the country; (8) Deputy Denis Naughten - the need to take immediate steps to protect Irish beef farmers' right to access the Common Market; (9) Deputy Billy Kelleher - the provision of access to medication for severe asthma, Xolair, to patients in Cork University Hospital; (10) Deputy Sean Fleming - the need to ensure that financial supports are in place to ensure people on community employment schemes in County Laois can undertake training to improve their qualifications for working in child care; (11) Deputy Michael Moynihan - Ireland's wind energy strategy; (12) Deputy Michelle Mulherin - the provision of funding for the monasteries of the Moy Greenway; (13) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - the need to protect the special amenity area status of the Howth Peninsula; (14) Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett - the need to establish a commission of investigation into the case of Cynthia Owen and the death of her child, Noleen Murphy; (15) Deputy Joe Carey - the need to find and deliver a solution to the severe flooding at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus, County Clare; (16) Deputy Dessie Ellis - the increasing road fatality figures and their relation to Garda cutbacks; (17) Deputy Mick Wallace - the need to include architectural technologists on the construction professionals building regulations list; and (18) Deputy Clare Daly - the need for the State to cast the vote of its shareholding against the bonus of the chief executive at Aer Lingus.

The matters raised by Deputies Joe McHugh and Anthony Lawlor; Finian McGrath; Sean Fleming; and Joe Carey have been selected for discussion.
