Vol. 8 No. 13

ORDER OF BUSINESS.

CATHAOIRLEACH

I might mention that I anticipate for next Wednesday we will have received the Army Pensions Bill and the Jurors Bill from the other House. Very likely the two will pass their final stages to-day or to-morrow. What I would suggest is that Senators should study these Bills with a view to seeing whether they would desire to put down amendments in Committee. I should like to take the Committee Stages on Thursday. I do not like to call the House together for Wednesday and have only one day's work. If we get these Bills and they are circulated to Senators to-morrow or next day we should then be in a position to take the Committee Stage on Thursday. I suggest that any Senator who wishes to hand in amendments should do so before Thursday, and that would enable us to take the Committee Stage on that day.
