Vol. 11 No. 2

APPOINTMENT OF COMMITTEE OF SELECTION.

CATHAOIRLEACH

This is pursuant to Standing Order No. 97 and a formal notice is unnecessary. The Committee consists of eight Senators plus the Leas-Chathaoirleach, who is ex-officio Chairman. Division lists will be distributed, and Senators should place the figures 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on, in the order of their choice, against the names of the Senators for whom they wish to vote. They may mark up to any number, but should bear in mind that the Committee consists of eight Senators. Of course, they should not vote for the Cathaoirleach or the Leas-Chathaoirleach, nor should they sign the paper or make any other mark upon it. When each Senator has filled in his voting paper he should fold it and drop it into the box which will be placed immediately in front of the Chair. When every Senator who wishes to do so has voted, the papers will be collected and the next business on the Order Paper will be proceeded with while the count is proceeding.

Might we have the names of the last Committee?

CATHAOIRLEACH

The last Committee consisted of the Leas-Chathaoirleach, ex-officio, and Senators Douglas, Dowdall, Fanning, Farren, Jameson, Sir John Keane, O'Hanlon and O'Rourke.

The voting was then proceeded with, and the following were elected:— Samuel L. Brown, Thomas Farren, Andrew Jameson, M.F. O'Hanlon, B. O'Rourke, Joseph O'Doherty, Colonel Moore, Mrs. Costello.
