Vol. 164 No. 7

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Leonard that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to ensure that a paediatrician is appointed to Monaghan general hospital.

I have also received notice from Senator Caffrey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Public Enterprise to outline whether any consideration has been given to the question of providing spur lines from the main transmission line of An Bord Gáis from Pollatomish to Galway to the major towns in Mayo that are within a reasonable distance of the main line from the Corrib field.

I have also received notice from Senator John Cregan of the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to grant an extension of time to personal assistants of people with physical and sensory disabilities who are currently employed on community employment schemes.

I have also received notice from Senator Glynn of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to provide extra accommodation at Gainstown national school, Mullingar, County Westmeath.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and I have selected Senator Leonard's and Senator Caffrey's matters which will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators John Cregan and Glynn may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
