I move:
That notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, it be an instruction to the Committee of the whole Seanad, in relation to the Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Building Control (Amendment) Bill 2022, that the Committee has the power to make amendments to the Bill for the purpose of:
(i) amending the Nursing Homes Support Scheme Act 2009, in relation to partially exempting eligible rental income from assessment, reviewing the effect of such provisions with the possibility of increasing the exemption, and to make other consequential amendments required to take account of such amendments;
(ii) amending the Affordable Housing Act 2021, in Parts 2 and 4, in order to clarify the process for the registration of dwellings in the Land Registry, and in Part 4 to clarify the process and consequences of the sale of a dwelling, and to make other consequential amendments required to take account of such amendments.
