Ceisteanna (133)

Dan Neville

Ceist:

127 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has drawn to the fact that a new health centre in Ballymun cannot be opened due the Northern Area Health Board’s lack of funds; if he intends to provide the NAHB with the relevant funds to ensure that the centre is fully operational; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As outlined in my reply to a previous Dáil question concerning this development, my Department is working with the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the Northern Area Health Board in an effort to resolve a range of issues relating to this project. The issues relate to matters such as the scope of the project, compliance with procurement procedures, securing value for money and the issue of funding for the project. A new and revised proposal has very recently been submitted to my Department in this regard and this is currently under consideration.
