128 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Health and Children if the implementation of the recommendations of the reports of the working group on child and adolescent psychiatry was considered in the context of the Estimates process for 2004; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10922/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe development of child and adolescent psychiatric services has been a priority in recent years. Since 1997, additional funding of almost €19 million has been provided to allow for the appointment of additional consultants in child and adolescent psychiatry, for the enhancement of existing consultant-led multi-disciplinary teams and towards the establishment of further teams. Further development of this much improved service, as recommended in the reports of the working group on child and adolescent psychiatry, was considered in the context of the Estimates process for 2004 and will be considered again in the context of the Estimates process for 2005 and subsequent years.
