390 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if the funding has been provided to Mayo County Council for the construction of the Srah to Westport water scheme extension; and when works will commence on this project. [19256/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe extension of the Lough Mask regional water supply scheme from Srah to Westport is included in my Department's water services investment programme 2004-2006 to commence construction in 2005 at an estimated cost of €12.7 million. I approved the design report for the scheme earlier this month and my Department is now awaiting the submission of contract documents by Mayo County Council.
