227 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science when he expects to be in a position to provide funding to replace a roof at a school (details supplied) in County Kildare as same has been temporarily repaired; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19808/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraIn the circumstances that there may have been asbestos present in the roof of the school to which the Deputy refers the matter was referred to the health and safety unit in the Office of Public Works, which carries out all asbestos surveys for my Department, for examination and report. Officials in my Department recently received and are considering the report. They will contact the school authorities in due course.
